Well. I would rather be in Oaxaca obviously. But I’m here. And it is raining. Mucho. Or “much” in english who couldn’t get that one. Tomorrow will be uno de los momentos más dificiles en mi vida. Estoy seguro, que manana va a suck. Hello, I’m mentally challenged. It will be good to get it over with. I am excited and nervous.
Hanyways. I can’t decide if I want to stay with lacrosse. Dragging myself to practice is getting annoying. I love the thrill of a sport again though. It sucks. Well I suck at lacrosse now. I lost basically all of my stick skills. I think I am the worst on the team No, I am. En serio. Seriously. There are new freshmen, good. They are good. And the other rookies form last year, not many left, are now better. SO I am at the bottom. Is it worth the $500 and time put in if I hardly ever play. Hmmm. I could do better things with my life…like…
I am so excited to go see my favorite profe in the entire world. I am going to bring my favorite pictures and think of my favorite stories. I wish I could be her. But we know that isn’t possible.
No school monday.
Emily is 21 Sunday. Dick.
I think no for Canada on friday.
You go tell your doctor…I’ll go tell my disco
Thats all folks.
Tuesday was the 23rd consecutive day of measurable rain as Seattle nears a record notable even in this city famous for its wet, gray weather.
I have been back for 31 days it has rained 23. That doesn’t make any sense. Rain is fun to walk to school in. Put on the jacket and trend ippy and im off the races. Its funny to try and count how many people I see wearing white headphones on campus.
It feels good to be back in Bham.
I’ve seen people on campus. Have seen most of the people I wanted to see and I saw my spanish profe. Good times.
Lax started up. Harshness. My throwingness of the ball was wack. But it’ll come back.
Last weekend was good. This one should be equally g.o.o.d.
Finished a tite art project. Used 10 candles. You should see it.
Can’t top getting music.
And someone is making me dinner tonight.
The homework routine is killing me. Oaxaca was amazing. I didn’t really appreciate how much of a vacation it was. Prolly the best vacation I will get. Maybe not. I always get lucky somehow.
Oh and the windows in my room are plastic…so combined with no heat…Brrrrrrwoof.
Canada friday?
I wish I was 21 to go out Sunday night. Bummer.
5 month…go!
42 million iPods sold, 32 million in 2005; 850 million songs sold on iTunes, 8 million TV shows (since Oct. 12); remote control for iPod with FM tuner, iPod now a radio too; MacOS 10.4.4, new widgets; Photocasting—podcasting for photos; iMovie improvements facilitate video podcasts; GarageBand has new podcast studio; first new Mac with Intel processor
Hubble has found that the North Star is actually three stars.
Sulu, “the steerer,” on Stark Trek is Howard Stern’s new announcer. Nice.
All my classes are on the top of buildings. Not really, but the top floors. Good exercise.
My room doesn’t have heat. I can deal. Just getting out of bed in the morning sucks.
Glad the weekend is here. Lots to do this weekend.
I’m not in shape for lacrosse, but i guess i will have to wait till we start running to find out.
Ate in the dorms yesterday with melanie and all her girlies. Miss the ample food, but not the people. I couldn’t live in the dorms “in this moment.”
Oh and there are 11 million children “on the brink of starvation” in Africa.
Time to go eat lunch. OMG can’t wait.
Nursing home residents prefer dogs to other residents?
In a new study, a professor of geriatrics reports that nursing home residents would rather hang out with just a dog than a dog and other residents. The study, led by William A. Banks of the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, included 37 residents who scored high on a loneliness scale and desired half-hour dog visits once a week. Half of the group spent the time alone with the dog. The others participated in group visits with one to three other residents and the pooch. Those who had the one-on-one time with the dog “experienced a much more significant decrease in loneliness after five to six weeks of visits.” From a press release:
“It was a strange finding,” said Banks, who also is a staff physician at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in St. Louis. “We had thought that the dog acts as a social lubricant and increases the interaction between the residents. We expected the group dog visits were going to work better, but they didn’t.
“The residents found a little quiet time with the pooch is a lot nicer than spending time with a dog and other people,” he said.
Ah…………
Ahh……….
Ahhh……..
Ahhhh……

New Year.
Cool.
Melanie almost died this morning. She stopped before a tree smashed the car. There is a dent in the hood. That would have sucked. Hey Dead Girl!
Spent the night at the ‘rents condo. The fireworks were rad. The condo looks in the Space Needle direction. I stayed up later by myself, took some vicodin and did some art projects. Trwippy wipiddy woo.
Moving is a bitch. But my own room in a sweet house will be cool. Fosh. Mang.
People are too much.
